Oct 18 (LTIT) –On October 17, 2019, the 13th batch of approval documents to restrict the import of scrap metal were released. Copper and aluminum scrap import enterprises were mainly concentrated in Tianjin, Ningbo and Foshan, Guangdong.

The import approvals of copper scrap and wastes are 57365 tons, aluminum scrap and scrap are 44935 tons, and iron and steel scrap and scrap are 610 tons. Compared with previous batches, the approval volume is still relatively small. Up to now, since July 1, when restricted imports came into effect, 541582 tons of copper waste and scrap have been accumulated, with Zhejiang accounting for a relatively high proportion, followed by Guangdong, Jiangxi and Shandong. Since July 1, when restricted imports came into effect, the total approved physical quantity of aluminum waste and scrap was 450351 tons. According to the guiding trend of China's solid waste import management policy, it is expected that the number of approvals will be greatly reduced in the fourth quarter.
